The model aims at promoting medical and wellness tourism – a high-value and high-growth-potential sector – and strengthening local communities. Ratchaburi Model is one of the achievements in applying the Happy Model, based on the BCG concept and cooperation between farmers, communities, and the public and private sectors. Easter Economic Corridor (08:30 – 16:30)The Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation or EECi is an innovation hub located at the heart of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) in Wangchan district, Rayong province. EECi provides translational research facilities and quality infrastructures. Its backbone of innovation platforms comprises the domains of biotechnology, digital and advanced material technologies, and industry-specific technologies. The participant will have a chance to the first experimental comprehensive modern farm in ASEAN, Kubota Farm. Located on over 220 rai (352,000 square meters) in Ban Bueng district, Chonburi province, the mission is to enhance the region’s capacity for sustainable agriculture by providing Thai farmers with easy access to precision farming innovations. Circular Solar Module (08:30 – 14:30)The demonstration site of agricultural solar in Pathum Thani province uses decommissioned solar modules from solar farms in different experimental fields such as solar pumps, water circulation, and charging stations in order to assess the feasibility and techno-economic viability of their second-life applications. An exhibition of solar modules recycling and upcycled products from retired modules will be presented. At this site visit, you will understand the life cycle of solar cells from their utilization phase till the end-of-life handling.
